Dover Business College believes that getting a job is just as important as completing a rigorous academic program, which is why the College maintains a Career Services Department staffed with qualified professionals who provide career advice to both students and graduates.
Career and Professional Development
Assistance with resumé preparation and job interviewing strategies is an integral part of the educational program. Career fairs, on-campus employer presentations, and on-campus interviews are organized on a regular basis.
All students complete Professional Career Development, a course that focuses on developing resumés, cover letters, thank-you notes, and personal references. This class also focuses on the importance of researching companies when exploring career opportunities, the impact of body language, and being prepared for the most common interview questions. Additionally, phone etiquette, professional attire, and interactive role playing are included.
Career Services Associates assist students in finding internships where applicable and full-time positions that are best suited to students' majors, interests, and abilities. Interview workshops are available for students and/or graduates who need additional guidance, practice, and confidence to fine-tune and master the skills necessary to obtain the job.
Career Services Strategies
The Career Services Department conducts pre-internship and/or pre-placement interviews in order to determine student goals and assist them in developing a realistic career path in their respective professions.
Our commitment to you does not end at graduation, even after completing your program Dover Business College's Career Services Associates will assist you in your search for employment.
