Dover Business College is pleased to offer new interactive workshops for your high school students. The 45-minute workshops encourage active participation. Students respond through interactive questions designed to expand their knowledge, while sharing and comparing their opinions and preferences.

It's our pleasure to offer these service workshops to you and your colleagues free of charge! So relax while we supply your school with a motivational presenter, all the equipment necessary for the workshop, and a unique opportunity for your students to learn valuable information with a click of a remote.

Step 1: Choose a Topic

The Plastic Piranha

This workshop is a great tool for explaining the inherent dangers of misusing a credit card. A number of tips are offered to help students use their credit cards more wisely.

 

Do Cliques Click?

This presentation is a great classroom discussion starter on group dynamics and self-identity. Topics touched upon in this workshop include the positive and negative impact of groups, labels, peer pressure, bullying, and respecting others outside your social circle.

 

Taming the Bull

This presentation defines three main types of bullying: verbal, physical, and psychological. Major emphasis is placed on what bystanders can do to discourage bullying.

 

Your Personality and Your Career Choice

Students learn how personality types are determined and their relationship to career satisfaction. This presentation also offers some suggestions for personal improvement based on an individual's personality type.

 

Internet Safety

This workshop offers advice and information to help young people avoid a variety of potential risks when using the Internet. "Cyberbullying," website security, and precautions concerning the posting of pictures and videos are discussed.

 

Making the Grade

As an educator, you know the importance of students developing good study habits. While developing these skills can be a learning process in itself, the benefits will have a positive impact on a student's life well beyond high school. Topics addressed in this presentation include practical tips on note taking, reducing test anxiety, proper time management techniques, study groups, and more.

 

Interview Skills

Having the right interview skills can make or break the chance of landing a job. In this workshop, students will learn the do's and dont's of job interviewing and gain valuable tips for putting their best foot forward in the job market.

 

Don't Stress Out - Coming Soon!

Today's teenagers are under more stress than those of previous generations. Sources of stress include family, peers, school, work, anxiety over what to do after high school, etc. This workshop gives teens practical techniques for reducing stress and anxiety.
